iPhone's hidden trackpad
I just learned you can go into a trackpad selection mode when inputting text by holding down space bar. Tapping a second finger on the keyboard then goes into select mode.

Article about a RFID-like protocol used by the DOE and military. They use it for keeping track of inventory of firearms, and nuclear weapon related stuff. Interestingly, it's radio interface operates primarily in the magnetic field so that it goes through metal and water. Helpful for tracking things that may be on a person or in a steel case....
